About CartridgeFinder.com

    The idea for CartridgeFinder.com arose when we were trying to figure out which supplies went to which printer. Ten years ago it was easy - you just popped in the cartidge (or, even earlier, just poured in a bottle of toner) and you were good to go.

      Today  however, if you want to print photos at home you may need 6 or 8 separate cartridges for your machine. For a high-end color laser printer at your office, you may have literally dozens of different cartridges to choose from.

      Printing supplies is a very confusing product area, even for people in the business. We know this because our parent company, Impro Group, has been involved in the supplies business for the past few decades. Why do they keep changing the part numbers? Why does the packaging change all the time? Why do the manufacturers keep merging and changing their names? Do I really need a zillion different cartridge versions? If I buy a third-party product will my machine die?

    The goal of our site is to enable you to quickly and easily keep your office running. Today, we help you find out which products you need and link you through to some potential suppliers. Going forward, we hope to help you make informed choices about which machines to buy when you're ready to upgrade. We're also working to connect you with local offline sellers, and to somehow integrate third party (compatible) supplies into the mix.
